KUMO LONDON / PRIVACY

Your project. Your information.

Your project. Your information.

Your project. Your information.

Clear scope starts with clear responsibility. This notice explains how Kumo London Limited handles your information when you enquire, book a call or discuss a project with Yohan Forbes.

RESPONSIBLE ORGANISATION / Kumo London Limited · LAST UPDATED / 28 October 2026

01 / WHO IS RESPONSIBLE

Kumo London Limited is the controller responsible for personal information collected through this website and its project-enquiry process. Yohan Forbes is your point of contact. For a privacy question or a request about your information, email yohanforbes@kumolondon.com. Registered office and correspondence address: 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. This is not a working studio.

02 / WHAT YOU SHARE

An enquiry may include your name, email address, optional phone number, organisation and the project information you choose to provide: your aim, material, service route, budget range, timing, additional requirements and decision stage. The form may also include the service or case study that brought you here, so you do not need to repeat the context. Email correspondence and call-booking details form part of that conversation. Visiting the website also involves technical connection information needed by the hosting provider to serve and protect the site.

Please share only what is needed to assess the enquiry. Do not put sensitive contributor information, private credentials or confidential production material into the initial form. If a project needs footage, contributor records or other sensitive material, we agree an appropriate handover separately.

03 / WHY WE USE IT

We use your details to respond personally, understand your brief, suggest a suitable route, prepare a scope or quote, arrange a call and keep a useful record of the discussion. If a commission follows, the agreed work may require further project administration, delivery and accounting records.

For a personal commission, responding to your request and preparing a quote can be steps taken at your request before a contract. For enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, business correspondence and service security, we rely on our legitimate interests in assessing enquiries, managing relationships and operating an accountable service, balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations. We rely on a contract to perform an agreed personal commission, and legal obligations for statutory records where applicable. A project enquiry is not permission to send a newsletter.

04 / THE SERVICES INVOLVED

This website and its enquiry form use Framer. Form notifications are sent to our business email. We use Google services for business email and Google Calendar for appointment bookings. These providers handle information needed to operate their respective services, under their applicable terms and data-processing arrangements. We use a private Google Sheets enquiry tracker and Google Apps Script to organise submissions, follow-up and business outcomes. AI-assisted administrative tools, including OpenAI, may help review correspondence and organise relevant follow-up information. Yohan reviews that work and remains responsible for the response; these tools do not make a binding quote or booking decision.

We share information only where needed for the stated purpose, with relevant service providers or where required by law. Any production collaborators and their responsibilities are agreed for the commission; an initial enquiry is not permission to circulate your brief publicly. We do not sell enquiry details.

05 / WHERE INFORMATION IS HANDLED

Service providers may process information in countries outside the UK. Their applicable data-processing terms describe the locations, subprocessors and transfer safeguards they use. Where a restricted transfer is involved, appropriate safeguards are required under applicable data-protection law. You can contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

06 / HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep enquiry and related follow-up records for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond, follow up and establish whether the proposed work will proceed. We review retention by reference to the enquiry’s status, the time since meaningful contact and any continuing reason to keep the record. When that purpose has ended, we delete or anonymise the information unless a specific legal or record-keeping requirement applies.

If an enquiry becomes a project, the contract, delivery requirements and applicable accounting or legal obligations may justify keeping certain records for longer. These are distinct from a promise to archive your media indefinitely. Please contact us if you want to understand or challenge the retention of a particular record.

07 / YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it erased, restrict its use, object to processing or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are not absolute; we will explain any applicable limitation.

Email yohanforbes@kumolondon.com with your request. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant record. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

08 / BROWSER STORAGE, ANALYTICS AND MARKETING

The enquiry journey uses temporary browser storage to carry your service or case-study context and recover your answers and current step after a detour or refresh. This tab-scoped recovery copy can include the contact details and project text you enter. It is not sent to us before you choose Send, and it is not used for marketing. Recovery expires after 30 minutes without changes; you can clear it with Start again, and the submitted copy is cleared when the successful-send confirmation opens. Browser settings may prevent recovery.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, contact-method clicks and successful project enquiries. In advanced consent mode, Google receives limited measurements without analytics cookies before you make a choice and after you reject analytics cookies. Rejecting cookies does not stop these cookieless measurements. Requests still involve technical connection information; cookieless does not mean guaranteed anonymity.

Accepting analytics cookies allows Google Analytics to use first-party analytics cookies. We configure these cookies with a maximum lifetime of 180 days, without extending that lifetime on each visit. We remember your analytics choice in browser storage for 180 days, unless you clear it sooner. Use Analytics settings (the Privacy control on mobile) on any page to change your choice or withdraw permission for analytics cookies. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation remain disabled.

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, project text, budget or other enquiry answers to Google Analytics. Our measurement uses controlled page addresses without query strings or fragments. Email, phone and booking-link clicks identify only the contact method, not the destination or message. A successful-enquiry event records acceptance by the form service, not a confirmed booking, revenue or guaranteed inbox delivery. If you accept analytics, we can store a random enquiry reference and your Google Analytics client identifier alongside your private enquiry record. This lets us associate a later qualification, quotation or confirmed booking with website activity. Google receives the random reference, outcome type and agreed booking value and currency where relevant; your contact details, questionnaire answers and private payment records remain outside Analytics. Rejecting analytics does not enable this association. Withdrawing through the website control requests that future linked outcome sends stop, normally on the next five-minute sync; if the request cannot connect, it retries while the site is open. You can also email us to withdraw. Withdrawal does not automatically erase measurements already sent. References needed for this control are stored in your browser for up to 180 days. We configure Analytics user and event data retention to 14 months; this differs from the cookie and choice lifetimes above. Analytics reporting can be incomplete because of browser restrictions, blockers and network failures.

Spreadsheet-based contact records support relevant business follow-up; they are not a mailing list. Sending an enquiry does not create a newsletter subscription. No mailing-list service is connected at present. Before introducing a dedicated CRM or mailing-list platform, we will review its data handling and update this notice. Any marketing signup will be a separate, optional choice, not a condition of asking about a project.

09 / A CLEAR NEXT STEP

We take reasonable steps to limit access to the people and services that need your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you have a privacy concern, start a conversation with us using the contact below. We will update this notice when the way we handle information changes.
